¿Derrota o Derrotero?
Artículo N° 05 de la Revista Xauxa N° 03, Año II
Resumen: El gobierno ha declarado el presente año como el “Año del Bicentenario del Perú: 200 años de Independencia”; denominación con la que no puedo estar de acuerdo; pues inicialmente manifiesta que es el “Año del Bicentenario del Perú”, como si nuestra Patria tuviera sólo doscientos años; y, por otra parte, se agrega la expresión: “200 años de independencia”; lo cual – también – es una afirmación muy discutible. La presente semblanza explora en nuestra historia republicana, buscando determinar si realmente hemos tenido 200 años de independencia nacional, a fin de confirmar o rechazar esta segunda expresión; y determinar si se trata de una derrota sufrida o un derrotero a seguir.
Abstract: The government has declared this year as the “Year of the Bicentennial of Peru: 200 years of Independence”; denomination with which I cannot agree; because initially it states that it is the “Year of the Bicentennial of Peru”, as if our country were only two hundred years old; and, on the other hand, the expression is added: “200 years of independence”; which – also – is a very debatable statement. This semblance explores our republican history, seeking to determine if we have really had 200 years of national independence, in order to confirm or reject this second expression; and determine if it is a defeat suffered or a course to follow.
