Edición Especial: “La Guarnición del Ejército en el Monitor de Huáscar”
Reseña: El Ejército Unido a la Historia, por fecunda y viril tradición, se corona con lauros de gloria al forjar una libre nación!” es una inconfundible frase del himno del Ejército Peruano que sintetiza, anima, identifica y se impregna en el espíritu de cada miembro la del Ejército Peruano. En cada grado de la jerarquía, en cada rincón del Perú, en costa, sierra, selva en los aires y en mar los hombres del Ejército son inseparables de su historia. Hoy en el día del Ejercito, constituye un honor recordar a la tripulación militar embarcada en el Huáscar y que poco reconocidos, pero nunca olvidados, constituye un honor rescatar y poner en dimensión la presencia del Ejército del Perú en el Combate de Angamos como ejemplo permanente de la entrega, sacrificio y heroísmo de los miembros de nuestro Ejército a lo largo de toda nuestra historia y hoy testimonio vivo de nuestro eterno compromiso para con la patria. Honor y Gloria a la tripulación de soldados embarcada en el Monitor Huáscar el 08 de Octubre de 1879; Honor y Gloria a nuestros hermanos de la Gloriosa Marina de Guerra del Perú.
Abstract: The Army United to History, by fertile and virile tradition, is crowned with laurels of glory by forging a free nation! is an unmistakable phrase from the Peruvian Army anthem that synthesizes, animates, identifies and permeates the spirit of each member of the Peruvian Army. At every level of the hierarchy, in every corner of Peru, on the coast, in the mountains, in the jungle, in the air, and at sea, the men of the Army are inseparable from its history. Today, on Army Day, it is an honor to remember the military crew embarked on the Huáscar and that little recognized, but never forgotten, it is an honor to rescue and enhance the presence of the Peruvian Army in the Angamos Combat as a permanent example of the dedication, sacrifice and heroism of the members of our Army throughout our history and today a living testimony of our eternal commitment to the country. Honor and Glory to the crew of soldiers embarked on the Monitor Huáscar on October 8, 1879; Honor and Glory to our brothers of the Glorious Navy of Peru.
