Resumen: El nombre suena a las alturas de uno de los cerros que abrazan nuestra extrañada Tarma, especialmente en invierno y teniendo como telón de fondo una lluvia torrencial. Pero, a veces los nombres nos dicen poco en el mundo mágico de la literatura. Cumbres Borrascosas, es el nombre de la novela de Emily Brontë, tal vez una de las mejores de la historia de la literatura. Para nuestro gusto, la mejor novela leída en los últimos cinco años. Más que una relación de emociones amorales, considero que es una novela de lo que significa el destino de los hombres y la capacidad de las mujeres para conseguir por un lado amor y por el otro riqueza.
Abstract: The name sounds like the heights of one of the hills that embrace our missed Tarma, especially in winter and with a torrential rain as a backdrop. But sometimes names tell us little in the magical world of literature. Wuthering Heights is the name of Emily Brontë’s novel, perhaps one of the best in the history of literature. For our taste, the best novel read in the last five years. More than a relationship of amoral emotions, I consider it to be a novel about the meaning of the destiny of men and the ability of women to achieve love on the one hand and wealth on the other.
