Resumen: La dimensión nacional que adquirió la Guerra con Chile, si bien tuvo carácter andino en la Campaña de la Breña, no debemos soslayar el patriotismo de otras regiones del país, en particular de la población loretana, que aun cuando sentía el abandono de la Capital, no dudaron en marchar prestos, la mitad del territorio nacional, para defenderla. Sellando de ese modo el pundonor patriótico de la región amazónica, que nos sigue demostrando hasta la actualidad. Como ejemplo de esta continuidad tenemos el heroísmo del Sargento segundo Fernando Lores Tenazoa.
Abstract: The national dimension that the War with Chile acquired, although it had an Andean character in the Breña Campaign, we must not ignore the patriotism of other regions of the country, in particular of the population of Loreto, who even when they felt the abandonment of the Capital, They did not hesitate to march quickly, half of the national territory, to defend it. Sealing in this way the patriotic honor of the Amazon region, which continues to show us to this day. As an example of this continuity we have the heroism of Second Sergeant Fernando Lores Tenazoa.
