Historia de una relación recíproca

Resumen: ¿Cómo eran las relaciones entre el Perú y los Estados Unidos durante el siglo XIX?, ¿Qué acuerdos alcanzaron ambos Estados?, ¿Qué aciertos y desaciertos tuvieron ambas diplomacias y si esto afectaron las relaciones durante este periodo?; algunas de las interrogantes que se trataran de responder en el presente artículo. Para lo cual se ha dividido el presente trabajo en tres partes; la Primera parte denominada “La libertad inconclusa”, que abarca de los años 1821 a 1845, comprendiendo los inicios de la vida republicana del Perú; la Segunda parte titulada “El efímero auge”, donde se abarcará los sucesos ocurridos entre los años de 1846 a 1872; periodo en que el Perú atravesó por un crecimiento económico. Por último, pero no menos relevante, la Tercera parte “La tempestad del sur”, recoge la coyuntura ocurrida entre los años 1873 a 1899, momentos cruciales que vivió el Perú antes, durante y después de la guerra del guano y el salitre. Para culminar con algunas consideraciones finales.
Abstract: How were the relations between Peru and The United States during the nineteenth century? What agreements did both States reach? What successes and failures did both diplomacies have and if this affected relations during this period? some of the questions that we would try to answer in this article. For which the present paperwork has been divided into three parts: First part called “The unfinished freedom”, which covers between 1821 and 1845, comprising the beginnings of the republican life of Peru; Second part “The ephemeral boom” that covers between the years 1846-1872, a period in which Peru went through economic growth; And finally the third part “The tempest of the south” that covers between the years 1873-1899, crucial moments that Peru lived before, during and after the war of guano and saltpeter. Culminating with some final considerations.
